The Middle East is an area where cars and truck is king and fuel is cheap, frequently leaving little reward to find more environmentally-friendly ways of moving.
But this year, as protests throughout the Middle East have risen the cost of oil, the problem of finding alternative sources of fuel has actually entered into sharp focus.
In a region that has one of the greatest carbon footprints worldwide, one organization is benefiting from the growing pressure to to oil. It's established the Middle East's first plan to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's showing rewarding too, already their client-list contains McDonald's.
